We give advice in British Sign Language

Coventry Citizens Advice gives advice and information to deaf people in British Sign Language to ensure that deaf people in Coventry – who may not be fully aware of their rights – are not missing out on the services available to them.

Coventry Citizens Advice can advise deaf people on debt, benefits, housing, family, employment, consumer, discrimination and immigration issues. Coventry Citizens Advice will try to help individuals to resolve such problems, and will join with the BDA to campaign for better access to advice and information for deaf people.

Where the Coventry Citizens Advice finds examples of discrimination against deaf people, it can report this to the national Citizens Advice and the British Deaf Association (BDA), and take action to improve services for the future.

If you are Hard of Hearing you can text Sue Adams (Deaf Service Advisor) who will then take details from you and arrange a face-to-face appointment with a BSL signer present.
