Coventry Law Centre is a charity employing solicitors who provide free legal advice on a range of issues from Employment, Immigration, Housing, Discrimination, Community Care and Welfare Benefits. They can be contacted on 024 76223053 or go to their website at www.covlaw.org.uk.

 

Jobcentre Plus is part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) who support people of working age from welfare into work. Jobcentre plus has local offices based around the city for client to visit, a telephone job-matching service on 0845 6060 234, or you can go to their website at www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk.

 

ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) aims to improve organisations and working life through better employment relations. They provide up-to-date information, independent advice, quality training and work with employers and employees to solve problems and improve performance. Holbrooks Community Care Association is a registered charity operating as a voluntary organisation. They are a community based resource and information centre offering services for people living in Holbrooks and its neighbourhood wards. The Client Support Unit provides free training and support to help unemployed people back to work. These programmes are innovative and powerful, delivering aspects of personal development and practical support to ensure that clients break down their barriers and move forward into employment. Wood End Advice and Information Centre provides free, confidential, impartial advice to people living in the North-East of Coventry. They support a wide range of advice and advocacy from their small but highly experienced advisers. Home visits can be arranged for people who are housebound or bereaved.
